Assistant Principal Gladys Young

Ms. Young is a graduate of University of Redlands and California State University San Bernardino.  Ms. Young grew up in Brooklyn, NY and born in Ponce, Puerto Rico.  She moved to California after being stationed at March AFB.  She moved to the Coachella Valley while serving in the Air Force Reserve and retiring from service after 32 years.  Ms. Young has over 30 years of experience in the educational field, as she has taught grades 3rd through High School.   She began her educational career  at Our Lady of the Rosary in San Bernardino as a teacher then became Dean of Students and moved into the position as Principal.  In 2000 was hired by the Coachella Valley Unified School District as a teacher at Sea View/West Shores.   Since then she has held many positions as Student Facility, Coordinator of the ASES Program, Coordinator of Staff Development, Dean of Students, Coordinator of the Science Fair, Coordinator of District Spelling Bee, Union Representative, Assistant Principal and now Assistant Principal of Coachella Valley High School.
